Rock the Boat Summer Series

This summer Searoad Ferries launched a new event, Rock the Boat.

A unique three-hour sail around the bay with live music, a DJ, continuous canapes and a welcome drink on arrival. Two were scheduled in February 2019. Sailing a bespoke route along the coast either from Queenscliff on February 9, or Sorrento on February 16, there was a definite party feel onboard the ferries as part of the new summer sunset series.

The main event and band, Pan B, kicked off in the Searoad Ferries lounge where there is plenty of seating and room to dance, while delicious canapes were delivered to guests throughout the night. DJ, Timmy kept the tunes pumping all evening long spinning vinyls between sets while guests sailed beautiful Port Phillip Bay watching the sun sink over the horizon. The crowd put on their dancing shoes with friends and family and literally danced the night away on this unique summer event.

Simple and enjoyable process
Really enjoyed taking the ferry. Not very busy, easy to get on and off with car and nice ship. Comfortable lounge and even had a sandwich. Really like the driving it saved us. Put us in great shape for starting the Great Ocean Road.

Why would you bother driving through all that city traffic when you can just hop aboard the ferry to get from one side of the bay to the other?

Excellent way to cross the bay
We took the car over the bay. What an easy trip. No need to book. Boat is in excellent condition and crew were great. High recommended.
