Queenscliff is a seaside village with uninterrupted views of the bay, heads and coastline. It is dripping in historic buildings with a surprising and contemporary feel. A modern marina precinct - Queenscliff Harbour - offers dining and shopping overlooking the luxury boats moored and the comings and goings of a working harbour. A 360 degree viewing tower stands tall and is worth the trip by stairs or lift, and it is free! The village and Main Street is a short walk from the ferry and is dotted with cafes, a brewery & distillery, boutiques and art galleries.
There is an artist trail along the clifftop towards The Fort and black lighthouse (one of only 4 in the world and the only one in the southern hemisphere) which looms large as if standing guard! For those more energetic there is a beach walk around to Pt Lonsdale, but check the tides before going.
Railway enthusiasts will love the Bellarine Railway and its quaint ride and Thomas Days.
